For more than a decade, the Danish Arts Foundation has supported Uppercut Dance Theatre's activities in the form of projects, tours and operating grants.

 

The Dance Chapel opened its doors in 2012. Uppercut Dance Theateris the house company of Dansekapellet.

 

In 2020, the Augustinus Foundation "... chose to support the company with a 3-year grant to allow choreographer Stephanie Thomasen and the company to develop the trilogy WHAT WAS MUST DIE for both a Danish and international audience.

 
 
 

In 1999, Uppercut Dance Theaterestablished Denmark's first community dance project, Dans i Nordvest, with support from the City of Copenhagen's Folkeoplysningssekretariat (FOS) and the then Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Today, Dans i Nordvest and Uppercut Dance Theaterare two different institutions that still collaborate on projects such as Kulturnatten and Koreografikonkurrencen.
