Stephanie Thomasen - Artistic Director, Choreographer & Dancer

Stephanie Thomasen (b. 1986) was born and raised in Denmark. She is an award-winning dancer and choreographer. Stephanie graduated from The Ailey School in New York in 2009, and has been working with Uppercut Dance Theater since 2010.

Mark Philip - Artistic Director & Dancer 

Mark Philip (b. 1983) has a Filipino and Danish background. He is a self-taught dancer and moves between the styles of break and contemporary dance. Mark has received several awards and honours. He was nominated for Dancer of the Year by the Reumert Jury 2015 and 2022. He has been affiliated with Uppercut Dance Theater since 2002.

Alexander Skjold - Composer, Musician and Dancer 

Alexander Skjold (b. 1988) was born and raised in Denmark. He graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music as a percussionist in 2017. He has a background in breakdancing and physical theater. Alexander is the main composer for Uppercut Dance Theater and is currently working with the trilogy WHAT WAS MUST DIE. Alexander has been working with Uppercut Dance Theater since 2007.

Linn Fletcher - Dancer 

Linn Fletcher (b. 1998) was born and raised in Sweden. She graduated from Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School in 2020. In 2021 Linn was nominated Dancer of the Year by the Reumert jury for her role in SAMBA. She recently received the Talent Award from the Danish association 'Ballettens Venner'. Linn has been working with Uppercut Dance Theater since 2020.

Giorgia Reitani - Dancer 

Gioriga Reitani (born 1994) was born and raised in Italy. She graduated from the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich in 2016. Since then, she has worked with Tanzcompagnie Volkstheater Rostock and Holstebro Dansekompagni. Giorgia has been working with Uppercut Dance Theater since 2021.

Jens Brøndum - Dancer 

Jens Brøndum (b. 1991). He graduated in Modern Dance and Choreography from the Danish School of Performing Arts (2011-15). He is the founder of DéLeon Company, which received a Reumert nomination for Dance Performance of the Year in 2019. He has danced for Sita Ostheimer Company, among others. Jens has been affiliated with Uppercut Dance Theatersince 2017.

Adam Tocuyo - Dancer

 Adam Tocuyo (b. 1998) has a background in Capoeira and studied at 'Danseudannelsen Sara Gaardbo' between 2016-17. Since then he has performed in many big productions such as: "Jeg er Jo Lige Her", "Maskerade", "Vild Med Dans", "Terkel i Knibe - The Musical", "West Side Story" and "Cirkusrevyen". Adam has been working with Uppercut Dance Theater since 2019.

Julie Kunz - Dancer & Choreographer

Julie (b.1988) was born and raised in Denmark. She is a dancer and choreographer with a background in the dance style popping - also called electric boogie. She trained at Hotstepper Dance Education (2010-11) and in physical acting at The Academy (2013-15). Julie has worked on several major stages nationwide, including "Morph" at Aarhus Theater, "Airport" at Republique Theater, "Cykelmyggen" at Østre Gasværk. Julie has started the company Offspring Production working with physical performance art on stage and film. Julie has been working with Uppercut Dance Theater since 2020.

Kristián Mensa - Dancer

Kristián "Mr. Kriss" is a dancer and illustrator from the Czech Republic. Kriss is world famous for his extraordinary dance language where he balances finely between strength, flexibility and elegance. In 2021 he received the 'The Silver Medal' from the President of the Czech Senate. He was recently invited to perform at the internationally renowned festival Breakin Convention with his solo 'Found Lost'. Kriss has been affiliated with Uppercut Dance Theatersince 2020.
